Texas A&M International University will celebrate its employees with Staff Enrichment Day on Friday, May 28 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Spring 2004 semester will be over and Summer I not yet started as TAMIU employees take a moment to come together and learn about topics such as diversity, safety and leadership. While University offices will remain open, staff will be greatly reduced, as all full-time employees are encouraged to participate.

In the afternoon, employees will break into smaller groups and participate in workshops such as "BaFá-BaFá: Embracing Differences at TAMIU," conducted by Dr. Terence Hannigan, director of Student Counseling Services; "Ergonomic Basics: Staying Safe and Healthy at Work," with Dr. Gordon Vos, assistant professor at the Texas A&M University System's Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health, "Working on Team TAMIU," run by Dean Allen, president of Dale Carnegie Training of South Texas and "Leadership Skills: What it Takes to Take the Lead," featuring Bob Hackett, executive vice president of Dale Carnegie Training of South Texas.
