It's the end of the line for class registration at Texas A&M International University. TAMIU's on-line services now provide new web-based access, updates and registration capabilities. The new system will launch Monday, Nov. 15.

"It's a simple four-step process that can provide a diverse array of services that our students will find incredibly beneficial," said University registrar Oscar Reyna.

Reyna explained the process:

1. Log on to tamiu.edu

2. Click on "Students" on the left of page and then "LASSO"

3. Click on "Login to Student Services"

4. Enter SSN or Campus ID in Student ID field and date of birth in 6-digit format for PIN and click "Login."

He explained that these four steps lead the student to the main menu which provides services grouped into Student Records, Personal Information, Registration and Schedule, Course Catalog and Available Course Sections and Financial Aid.

In Student Records, students can check grades, unofficial transcripts, degree audit, account summary, hold information, academic advisor, and transfer credit.

In Personal Information, students can change their PIN, e-mail addresses and website, phone numbers and addresses, marital status and view information on name changes and Social Security Number changes.

In Registration and Schedule, students can register for terms in active registration periods and print the current class schedule and view available course sections and search course sections.

The Financial Aid section provides personal financial aid information as well as TAMIU financial aid application and information links.

In addition to accessing on-line services through their own computers and University labs, dedicated computers are also available in the Registrar's Office lobby.

For more information, contact the Registrar's Office at 326.2250, visit offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library room 166 or e-mail oreyna@tamiu.edu
