TAMIU's 2004 - 2005 Keynote Speaker Series Continues Tonight

The Texas A&M International University 2004-2005 Western Hemispheric Trade Keynote Speaker Series will continue tonight, Dec. 2, focusing on "The Impact of Evolving Trans-Pacific Trade Patterns and Transportation Corridors on NAFTA Economies and Distribution Networks."

The lecture will take place from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 111. The event is free and open to the public.

Keynote speaker will be Leigh B. Boske, associate dean and professor of economics at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. The series is sponsored by the TAMIU College of Business Administration's Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade (CSWHT).

Boske focuses his teaching and research interests on transportation policy, economics and finance. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the U.S. European Transatlantic Policy Consortium; Coordinating Committee of the Inter-American Training and Research Program for Trade Corridor Development, Organization of American States (OAS); Intermodal Freight Transportation Committee of the Transportation Research Board, National Research Council; and Advisory Committee of the Center for Transportation Research; and is Institutional Representative to the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management.
