No Lines for TAMIU Spring 2005 Registration

This new year at Texas A&M International University the only lines for Spring Semester registration will be electronic. The campus is now conducting all registration on-line through a web-based system on the University's home page.

Students have only to click on https://lasso.tamiu.edu/ahomepg.htm to register, view course catalog and available course selections, check student records and financial aid.

University registrar Oscar Reyna said the new system, which launched in November , is a hit.

"We've been delighted with the response from students. Everyone is happy with the ease of the system from registration to holds checking to payment. It's a user-friendly system that students are finding incredibly beneficial," Reyna explained.

Reyna noted students are even signing up for courses while on their holiday break.

The on-line registration is available as follows:

Sunday - All day

Monday - 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Tuesday - 8 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Thursday - 8 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Saturday - All Day.

In addition to accessing on-line services through their own home computers, dedicated computers will also be available in the Registrar's Office lobby when offices reopen Monday, Jan. 3.

Spring Semester classes begin Monday, Jan. 10.
