TAMIU's Western Hemispheric Trade Keynote Speaker Series 2005

The Texas A&M International University 2005 Western Hemispheric Trade Keynote Speaker Series continues tonight from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 116.

Philip Martin, professor of agricultural and resource economics at the University of California Davis (UC-D)will present "Mexico-U.S. Migration: Challenges and Opportunities."

Offered by the College of Business Administration's Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade (CSWHT), the event is free and open to the public.

Martin is chair of UCD's Comparative Immigration and Integration Program and editor of the monthly Migration News and the quarterly Rural Migration News.

The next lecture will be held Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 111 with William C. Gruben, vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, discussing "Western Hemispheric Economic Integration: Status of the Free Trade Area of The Americas (FTAA)."
