University's Online Employment System Proves Popular With Job Searchers
Since its launch less than a month ago, Texas A&M International University's new on-line employment system, TAMIUWorks! has registered over 2,700 visits, with over 3,500 viewings of TAMIU job offerings.
Sandra Peña, TAMIU director of Human Resources, said the reaction to the online employment system has been overwhelmingly positive.
"We had hoped that the system would resonate with our users, but response has been terrific. Our use of technology to streamline accessibility has been well-received," Peña said.
Launched March 28, TAMIUWorks! is an innovative, Web-based system that offers online recruitment, application and hiring.
The site is located at http://employment.tamiu.edu.
Applicants are able to view job vacancies, create or revise their application, submit applications and track the status of the application as submitted. Currently there are 30 jobs on offer on the TAMIUWorks! site.
The system is available 24 hours, seven days a week and is linked to the University's main site and related sites of interest for potential employees.
