University Dates THEA Prep Workshops

Texas A&M international University's Tutoring Center, CASA, is offering a series of preparatory workshops April 25, 26, and 27 for students readying for the math portion of the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA).

The workshops are free of charge and open to all TAMIU and eligible high school students.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday, April 25 - Foundation of Mathematics, 6 - 8 p.m., Dr. Billy F. Cowart Hall, room 213.

Tuesday, April 26 - Algebra, 6 - 8 p.m., Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 125.

Wednesday, April 27 - Geometry and Problem-solving, 6 - 8 p.m., Student Center 231.

The Workshops are being coordinated by the University's Programs for Academic Support-Tutoring Center tutoring staff.

Space is limited. For additional information, call 326.2723.

The THEA Test is designed to provide information about the reading, mathematics, and writing skills of students entering public colleges, universities, and educator  preparation programs in public and private institutions. The THEA test replaces the former TASP test.
