Foreign Languages Offered At TAMIU This Summer

If your plans don't include a trip to Japan this summer, you still have the chance to enjoy all things kawaii (cute) at Texas A&M International University International Language Institute's (ILI) foreign language classes. Registration is currently underway for Japanese and Spanish classes to be held at the University June 13 - Aug. 5, 2005. Registration deadline is June 10.

Beginning Japanese (Japanese Level I) will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 - 8:15 p.m. The class teaches students basic Japanese conversational skills and an introduction to Japanese culture. Taught by native speaker Sugako Yoshimura Stone, the course is designed for beginning students.

Beginning Spanish II will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 - 8:15 p.m. Students are required to take an oral placement exam. This class is designed for people who know some Spanish but might need help with grammar, verb tenses and vocabulary. An oral placement test is required.

TAMIU admission isn't required.
