TAMIU Offers Defensive Driving Course
Take advantage of Texas A&M International University's Office of Special Programs defensive driving course Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Thursday, Sept. 8.
This course is approved and recognized by the Texas Department of Insurance and includes a certificate valid for insurance reduction or ticket dismissal. This two-day course runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on both days.
"Anyone interested can register to lower insurance rates or dismiss tickets. Previous registrants have said taking the course made them better drivers and now know how to avoid accidents by using defensive techniques that protect them against reckless drivers," said Jessica Villarreal, program coordinator for continuing education programs.
Cost is $35 per participant. Enrollment is limited.
