Third Annual Open House Held at TAMIU
Not yet registered for Fall 2005 classes? What are you waiting for? Texas A&M International University will host the Third Annual Open House Thursday, Aug. 11 from 6 - 8 p.m. for those latecomers who are just now returning from their summer vacation.
Representatives from TAMIU's College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration, College of Education and the Dr. F.M. Canseco School of Nursing will be available in the Student Center Ballroom, room 203 to answer questions students may have regarding their degree plan and/or classes.
Equally available will be the Office of Recruitment and School Relations, the University's Testing Services, the Office of Housing and Residence Life, Student Counseling Services, the Office of the University Registrar and the Office of Career Services.
TAMIU's Office of Financial Aid will also help students complete their financial aid folder and will help answer any questions students may have about student loans and/or scholarships. For speedy processing, students are encouraged to come prepared with their 2004 Income Tax Return and high school or college transcript.
Gina de la Miyar González, TAMIU director of Recruitment and School Relations, said this is an excellent opportunity for students who haven't yet registered for Fall classes. Not only that, but information will also be available on Spring 2006 classes for those students who wish to prepare early, according to González.
"We'll have information to help students ready for Fall 2005, as well as students looking ahead to Spring 2006," González said.
González noted that the University's 3rd Annual Open House is also a chance for the public in general to acquire information about TAMIU without having to register.
