TAMIU Continues Student Welcomes Week

New students to Texas A&M International University are finding their way through their first semester with the help of an innovative week-long welcome program.

TAMIU Welcome Week, full of fun and entertainment for students, continues through Friday, Sept. 2.

Completing the Welcome Week schedule are:

Thursday, September 1:  University Convocation at 12 noon in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.Guest speaker is State Senator Judith Zaffirini.  Highlights of the event include the presentation of the Zaffirini Medal Awards as well as the University Scholar of the Year, University Teacher of the Year and Distance Educator of the Year.

Friday, September 2:  Intramural Fun Day from 12 - 5 p.m. at the Kinesiology Building.
