What do Texas A&M International University’s Dustdevils have in common with the Laredo Bucks? Hint:  It involves ice.

Answer?  The Dustdevils will be sharing the Bucks’ icy home this Friday as the Laredo Entertainment Center hosts TAMIU Night.  The Bucks will compete against the Youngstown (OH) Steelhounds.  Game time is 7:30 p.m.  Orlando Navarro (’94), TAMIU Alumni Association president-elect, will drop the game-opening puck.

TAMIU Night affords the University’s alumni, current students and friends an opportunity to share in alumni spirit and cheer the Bucks on, said TAMIU director of Alumni Relations Patricia McBain.

“This is the second year that we’ve done this and our alumni and University friends look forward to the wonderful camaraderie and chance to reconnect with former classmates, professors and University staff,” she explained.

As an added incentive, the first 2500 persons attending the game will be able to get a special TAMIU commemorative flag which features both Bucks and TAMIU logos.
