Student artists will demonstrate their artistic vision Thursday from 5:30-8 p.m. at Texas A&M International University's Senior Student Exhibit in the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Gallery.

Dubbed "Unwilling Sensations," the exhibit is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be served.

"Unwilling Sensations" will be on display through April 25.

"The exhibit is the work of our 2006 graduating senior art majors," explained Alma Haertlein, assistant professor of art.

The students worked in oils, acrylics, scratch-board, charcoal, pastels, and ink markers on a variety of surfaces such as Masonite, canvas, paper, and cardboard. There will also be an installation piece.

"Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the art on exhibit," added Haertlein.

For more information, please contact Haertlein at 326.3041, e-mail almah@tamiu.edu or visit offices in CFPA 208A.

Gallery hours of operation are from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
