Renewing library materials and creating holds and recalls is now more convenient for Texas A&M International University’s Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library patrons using the Rio Online Catalog.

“The Killiam Library is pleased to announce that patrons can now go online to renew materials, place holds or recall an item,” explained Matthew W. Loving, reference/access services librarian.

“The recall feature is new and works similarly to the hold feature except that it shortens any due date to two weeks. Books that are recalled must be returned within two weeks. Overdue recalls carry a heavier fine than other overdue materials, accumulating at a rate of $1 per day,” Loving continued.

To take advantage of the new online functions, patrons should go to https://voyager-iu.tamu.edu/ and log on. By accessing the account, patrons may see items charged out, overdue fines, materials on hold or recall, and any blocks placed on the account.

Learn more about the new features by visiting the online tutorial at http://library.tamiu.edu/info/Voyagertutorial.htm
