TAMIU Outdoor Spring Commencement Set Saturday, May 13, at 8 P.M.

Some 440-plus candidates for graduation at Texas A&M International University will receive undergraduate or graduate degrees at Saturday's Spring Commencement Exercises scheduled at 8 p.m. on the interior campus green in front of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library.

      

In the event of rain, graduation will take place on Sunday, May 14 at 8 p.m.  A recorded message with updated information on any changes is available by calling 956.326.2180. A message will also be posted on the University's web site, tamiu.edu and relayed to local media.

      

Bill Jones, vice chairman of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, will serve as commencement speaker. Student Gabriela L. Brondo  will provide the Distinguished Student Scholar address. A highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of an honorary doctorate to Laredoan Elmo López who was crucial in the development and growth of the University's music program.
