Creating and Marketing Web Sites Workshop Set at TAMIU

Register now to learn to create and market your own Web site in the highly competitive Internet cyber landscape at Texas A&M International University. The non-credit certificate course is scheduled for Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24.

The course will provide 10 contact hours, split over two days - Friday, June 23 from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 - 4 p.m.

Course fee is $199.

"Creating and Marketing Your Own Web Site for Maximum Results on the Internet" is targeted at managers, professionals and entrepreneurs in all industries and sizes interested in greater success on the Internet. The class will teach key elements to maximize results in the Internet to strategically and creatively design Web sites and will demonstrate proven techniques for superior results.

Main topics covered include how to sell on the Internet, keywords and your domain name, key elements of your site, sales copy, automating your site, how to collect e-mail addresses, search engine submission and sources to direct traffic to your site.

The course will be taught by Jorge H. Mata, adjunct faculty member for TAMIU's College of Arts and Sciences. Mata is also a visiting faculty member at the University of the Americas in México.
