USAF Band of the West Gateway Brass at TAMIU Friday

Music lovers will get a special treat with a concert by the Gateway Brass, the brass ensemble of the United States Air Force Band of the West, on Friday, at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts' (CFPA) Recital Hall.

This event is free and open to the public.

Members of the Gateway Brass have many years of professional experience with symphony orchestras, chamber ensemble, touring shows, and today's popular artists. They perform for civilian and military audiences throughout the Southwest playing music spanning five centuries. Gateway Brass appears in more than 100 concerts and clinics annually. The ensemble is stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

The Gateway Brass includes two trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba and percussion. It is dedicated to presenting the total spectrum of today's musical literature.
