Improve Your Company's Web Site with a Non-Credit Certificate Course at TAMIU

If you have a Web site, but feel like it doesn't generate enough traffic, register for the non-credit certificate course, "Creating a Compelling Web Page for Maximum Results" offered at Texas A&M International University by the College of Business. The course is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 14.

The course will provide approximately 10 contact hours, split over both days. Class will meet Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 4 p.m. registration deadline is Oct. 11.
Seating is limited. Course fee is $199 and classes will meet in Anthony J. and Georgia A. Pellegrino Hall, room 219.

This course is targeted at managers, professionals and entrepreneurs seeking methodology and techniques for greater success on the Internet. Business students and people who plan on taking supervisory and marketing responsibilities are also encouraged to participate.

Main topics covered include: how to better position images; how to establish trust and credibility; learning to apply an active box; where to best position site index elements; how to collect e-mail addresses from site visitors and what to state in the sales copy for greater site click-through.

The course will be taught by Jorge H. Mata, adjunct faculty member for TAMIU's College of Arts and Sciences. Mata is also a visiting faculty member at the University of the Americas in México.
