Be better prepared to take the Graduate Record Exam with GRE prep courses at Texas A&M International University. The classes, offered by TAMIU’s Office of Special Programs, start with a pre-test Saturday, Nov. 11.

Tuition is $320 but does not include exam registration. Register now to avoid late registration fees.

Classes will meet Saturdays from Nov. 11 through Jan. 20. No classes will be held on Nov. 25, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. GRE test date is March 11.

“GRE scores are a critical component of anyone’s graduate school application. Many graduate schools combine actual test scores with college GPA to determine the probability of success in their program. This preparation course offers students the tools and preparation they need to score their best on the exam,” explained Jessica Villarreal, program coordinator.

The review course offers the tools and preparation students need to score well on the GRE: test-taking strategies, skill review exercises, practice test, math skills review and an English skills review. Students will also receive two textbooks and pre- and post diagnostic assessments from Cambridge Educational Services.

To request a registration form, please contact Villarreal at 326.2765, e-mail jesvillarreal@tamiu.edu or visit offices in the Student Center, room 118.

University office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
