For 2007, it’s 78 degrees year-round at Texas A&M International University. Students can now select from 78 undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees at Texas’ newest University.

The University’s growing academic inventory is directed by three colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration, College of Education and the Dr. F. M. Canseco School of Nursing.

All programs feature a strong international perspective including Study Abroad opportunities and 50+ cooperative research/study agreements with universities in China, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Egypt.

Among signature programs are the University’s Ph.D. in International Business Administration and cooperative doctoral programs in Hispanic Studies, English and Educational Administration. This Fall, the University awarded its first Master of Science in Nursing degrees.

Other popular programs include early childhood (education), and criminal justice. A new program, Systems Engineering, has sparked considerable interest. Full pre-professional programs are available including early admission medical school, dental and law school offerings.

The campus welcomes nearly 5000 students each semester from throughout Texas and an average of 30 different countries.

Spring 2007 classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 16. In 2006 alone, Financial aid for the Spring semester is still available. Last year, TAMIU awarded over $22.1 million in student assistance.

The University will be closed for the holidays Friday, Dec. 22 thru Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007.

Despite office closures, registration for the Spring Semester 2007 continues 24/7 at UOnline, located at schedule.tamiu.edu
