Texas A&M International University’s baseball program will launch its inaugural season of competition by playing four games over a four-day period, beginning with a three-game series at Tarleton State University over the weekend.

TAMIU will play its first home game in school history on Tuesday against Schreiner University.

The Tarleton State series will start with a single game on Saturday night at 7 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m.  All games will be played at Cecil Ballow Complex on the Tarleton campus in Stephenville.

Tarleton is picked sixth of six teams in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference South Division Preseason Poll. TSU finished last season with a 16-38 overall record.

First pitch in Tuesday’s game against Schreiner is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the baseball field at the Student Activities Center. Free admission will be granted to all fans for the home opener with hot dogs and drinks also provided free of charge.

The normal admission for TAMIU baseball is $5 for adults and $3 for students (K-12). Anyone with a TAMIU ID is admitted free to all Dustdevil Athletic events.
