Tejano Art Exhibit Continues at TAMIU

Award-winning photographer Penny De Los Santos is featured in a new art exhibit, "The Tejano Project," at Texas A&M International University's Center for the Fine and Performing Arts' Gallery.

The exhibit continues through March 1. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

A Laredo native, De Los Santos' photographs focus on the Texas border, including images of the Martha Washington Celebration Ball debutantes and other images of the area. Her work was featured in the November 2006 edition of National Geographic.

She has also been published in Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated Magazine, Mother Jones Magazine, Latina Magazine, Texas Monthly Magazine, U.S. News & World Report Magazine, Paris Match Magazine and the books “America 24-7,” “Game Face” and “A Day in the Life of the American Woman.”
