TAMIU SBDC Schedules Women’s Roundtable March 8

Women interested in doing business with the federal government and thinking about bidding on federal contracts should attend the “Women’s Business Luncheon Roundtable” presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Texas A&M International University’s Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) on Thursday, March 8, 2007, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  

The roundtable will be held at Las Ventanas, 1000 Zaragoza (next to La Posada Hotel) in downtown Laredo, Texas. There is no fee and registration starts at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided by TAMIU SBDC.

Those attending will learn the process and eligibility criteria for the 8(a) Business Development Program, how to acquire contracting certification, and how to search for contracting opportunities. 

Small business owners in construction, manufacturing, service or supply, will be able to find out if they meet requirements to obtain bonds to bid in federal government contracts requiring surety bonds.
