‘La Vida Latina’ Wednesday at TAMIU

Take an excursion to México, Central America and as far away as Chile at the Texas A&M International University Latin America festival, La Vida Latina Wednesday, April 25 from 9 – 11 a.m. and from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda.

This event is free and open to the public.

Visitors will be able to sample food, play games, enjoy a live music performance and explore Belize, Paraguay, Brazil, México, Chile, Colombia, Honduras and Cuba through displays and exhibits set up by international and study abroad students.

Participants will receive a “passport” that will be stamped for each presentation attendance.

This celebration of Latino life is part of the festivities related to a series of other events that are part of “Our Journeys/Our Stories: Portraits of Latino Achievement” on display at the Student Center Rotunda through May 12.

The exhibition, its national tour and related programs are made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund. Ford Motor Company Fund has also provided support for the exhibition’s presentation in Laredo and for related education programs like La Vida Latina.
