TAMIU Bands in Concert Sunday

Come enjoy the different sounds at Texas A&M International University Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Symphonic Band in concert at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall Sunday, April 29 at 4 p.m.  

This event is free and open to the public.

The TAMIU Jazz Ensemble will perform music by Sammy Nestico and Thad Jones.  The TAMIU Percussion Ensemble selections will include: “Song of Joy” by David Mancini, “Ceremonium” by Jared Spears and “The Series” by Hawkeye Drumline. The Symphonic Band will be performing The Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky.

The TAMIU Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band is under the direction of Dr. Michael Stone.  The TAMIU Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of José A. Villarreal.

This concludes the TAMIU band division’s final concerts for the Spring semester.
