The Women’s Business Roundtable Workshop scheduled Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 12 – 2 p.m. at Texas A&M International University's Western Hemispheric Trade Center Room 125, will focus on franchising legal issues, and the “how to’s” of franchising.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Each year, thousands of people start small businesses. Many choose franchising as an alternative to starting a new, independent business from scratch. The franchisors provide business expertise; e.g., management guidance, marketing plans, site location and training.

However, remember that hard work, dedication, and sacrifice are essential to the success of any business venture, including franchising.  Those interested in learning about the process of becoming a franchise operation and how to select and finance a franchise should attend the Tuesday, April 10 Workshop.

The Workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the TAMIU Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC).
