Running a small business is one of the most exciting challenges one can undertake, and one of the toughest. Businesses that succeed are those that stay on top of their finances. In fact, tracking where money is coming from and where it's going are among the most important steps to ensure a business becomes a success story and not a statistic. But as businesses build new customers and serve current customers, this can become a challenge.

QuickBooks is a popular program that helps manage finances more effectively in less time by simplifying paying bills, invoicing customers, tracking sales tax, filling out purchase orders and more. But saving time is only part of the story. By tracking and organizing all business information in one place, QuickBooks can generate reports that track cash flow in and out, making it easier to steer a business toward success.

At the May 14-15 workshop participants will learn how to:

  • Maximize customer satisfaction by serving customers more efficiently and professionally
  • Get instant business reports that provide current status
  • Get  numbers needed for taxes or  an accountant in minutes—not days or weeks.

To register, call TAMIU SBDC at 956.326.2827 or 956.326.2550, or e-mail sbdc@tamiu.edu

Office hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday-Friday.
