TAMIU SBDC Offers Free Business, Marketing Workshop May 18
The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will be sponsoring a business/marketing plan workshop.
The free workshop will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Laredo Development Foundation, 616 Leal Street.
Planning is your map to success in the business world. You need to write a business plan if you are:
- Starting or buying a business
- Financing or refinancing your business
- Raising debt or equity capital
A business plan helps you find hidden business flaws and makes you think carefully about each phase of your business.
It is important that you write your business plan. Why? You will gain in-depth knowledge about your business which will make it easier to answer lenders’ questions. The process of writing your business plan will clarify what is involved in making your business work successfully.
The marketing section of your business plan defines all of the components of your marketing strategy. When you write your marketing plan, you will address the details of your market analysis, sales, advertising, and public relations campaigns. The right product or service at the right price is only the beginning. You must identify your audience, promote your product and find the best distribution method.
