If you think you ought to be in pictures, this is your chance to “speak up.”

The Texas A&M International University Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium is looking for a family to do the Spanish voiceover for the recently translated “Secret of the Cardboard Rocket.”

“Our Spanish shows are really popular and we wanted to add another feature for our Spanish-speaking audience,” said Laura C. Jimenez, LBV Planetarium associate director.

“We are looking for a family or a group of four people who are related—an adult female, adult male, a boy and a girl who read and speak Spanish—to provide the voiceovers for the characters,” Jimenez added.

The characters are a mom, dad, boy and girl.

In this show, two very imaginative children build a rocket from a large cardboard box. With the help of a talking library book, they explore the solar system.

Anyone who is interested may register at the LBV Planetarium ticket booth on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 – 5 p.m. and from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturdays starting June 6. The contest ends July 18. No purchase is necessary.

All actors must be able to read and speak Spanish and have a flexible schedule.

The winners will be chosen in a raffle July 19, but need not be present.

For more information, please contact Jimenez at lcjimenez@tamiu.edu or 326.2668 or visit office in the Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center, room 385E.

University office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Fridays.
