Texas A&M International University is part of a partnership with the Texas Workforce Center and others that are recruiting 2007 high school graduates for the Academic and Career Enhancement for Success (ACES) youth College Bound Program.

The youth ACES College Bound Program will assist participants that meet all the program eligibility requirements with a scholarship so that they can receive free tuition, free books, and free room/board.

Additionally, students will also earn money by participating in the college work study program. For more information, call the Information and Referral toll-free line at 2-1-1.

In addition to TAMIU, the partnership includes Southwest Texas Junior College and Sul Ross State University at Alpine.

Interested students can apply at any of the Texas Workforce Centers in the nine-county Middle Rio Grande Area. Those sites are available at: http://www.mrgdc.org/workforce/job_seeker/wf_centers/wf_centers_home.php

Students who are under age 18 must have parents participate in the application process. Applicants should bring their Social Security cards and other proof of income in their household.

TAMIU Summer Session II classes start July 9, 2007 and end on August 10, 2007. Space is limited, and early application is strongly advised.
