Business owners looking to improve management skills have a perfect opportunity to do so at a Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) Seminar Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 9 a.m. – noon at TAMIU's Bob Bullock Hall, Room 225.

Registration fee is $30. Those registering prior to July 20 receive a $5 discount.

Today's business environment is demanding and includes managing organizational projects, meeting deadlines, accomplishing goals and supervising employees. Supervising employees with attitudes and behavior problems can further drain and drag organizational morale.

This Seminar will help participants develop and strengthen management and supervisory skills for present and future organizational goals, while becoming more efficient and effective managers or supervisors.

The seminar will be lead by Cynthia Ruiz from At Work Personnel and will include the following:

  • Defining absenteeism and lateness
  • Identifying patterns
  • Confronting chronic offenders
  • Resolving problems
  • Creating a positive work environment.

To register, call the TAMIU SBDC office at 956.326.2827 or e-mail sbdc@tamiu.edu

SBDC office hours are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
