Learn Workers Compensation Basics at TAMIU SBDC Conference

The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) and the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission will hold “Workers’ Compensation 101 Conference.”

The Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 111. A registration fee of $50 will cover conference session and materials, continental breakfast and lunch.

The seminar will provide information on the law and rules, employer and employee rights and responsibilities, medical, income and death benefit eligibility requirements, the claims process, return to work, the dispute resolution process and health, safety and prevention programs.

  • Workplace and medical services
  • Legal and compliance
  • Benefits

  • Dispute resolution
