TAMIU Hosts ‘College Night’ Wednesday, Oct. 10

Area students interested in pursuing higher education will have the chance to meet with recruiters from more than 40 universities on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7 9 p.m. at the Texas A&M International University Student Center (SC).

This event is free and open to the public.

Students from Laredo, Hebbronville, Zapata, Cotulla, Crystal City, Carrizo Springs, Roma and Rio Grande City are all invited to consider their educational future.

The event will give students the opportunity to explore the variety of available choices and speak to representatives in person, explained Gina De La Miyar González, director of the Office of Recruitment and School Relations.

Recruiters from the following will be available to answer questions: Angelo State University, Baylor University, Boston University, Brazos Higher Education Service Corp., Concordia University, Laredo Community College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Rice University, St. Edward’s University, St. Mary’s University, Sul Ross State University and Tarleton State University.

Also, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas Lutheran University, Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas State University-San Marcos, Texas Tech University, Texas Wesleyan University, Trinity University, University of Kansas, University of Texas Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Houston and University of the Incarnate Word.

In addition, University of North Texas, University of Texas-Pan American, University of St. Thomas, University of Texas Health Science Center, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Texas-Permian Basin, Wayland Baptist University and West Texas A&M University.

Students should contact their respective high school counselors for more information.
