TAMIU Art Exhibit Continues Till Oct. 11

A multi-media exhibit by Georgia Tambasis continues at Texas A&M International University's Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Gallery.

“Mutations” is a collection of ceramic sculptures, drawings and paintings by Tambasis. Her work consists primarily of colored slates of clay, organized and stacked on various wooden and steel structures.

This exhibit is sponsored in part by Time Warner Cable. It is free and open to the public and will be on display through Thursday, Oct. 11.

Tambasis' most recent solo exhibitions include “Flutter” at Laredo Center for the Arts, “Disturbances in the Field” at Three Walls and “Prickly Sweet” at the University of Texas at San Antonio Satellite Space and exhibits at the McDonough Museum of Art, Youngstown, Ohio and Blue Star Contemporary Art Center in San Antonio.

She currently lives and works in Wheeling, W.Va.
