Hold ‘em High, Athletics Casino Night Tonight

The Annual Texas A&M International University Athletics Department Casino Night Sports Memorabilia Auction will bring Laredo a little less conversation and a lot more action today at the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom with a silent auction, a live action, casino games and a Texas Hold ‘em Tournament.

Admission for the Casino Night and Auction is $20 per person.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The evening also includes a buffet catered by local restaurants.

The silent and live auctions include unique sports and entertainment items.

Among the 57 items for the silent auction: Tony Gwynn-signed San Diego Padres jersey, football signed by the 2007 Aggies, David Beckham-signed soccer ball, five pitching lessons from Jon Hinkel, baseball card signed by Roger Clems, Bob Feller-signed Cleveland Indians helmet and many more.

Live auction items include a four pack of tickets to two Spurs games, 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl package, Dallas Cowboys package and a guided management whitetail buck hunt.

The entry fee for the Hold’em Tournament is $100; first prize is a trip for two to Las Vegas. The tournament is limited to 30 seats. Ten seats are still available.

Casino games will include blackjack, roulette and craps.  Participants can cash in chips for a prize raffle at the end of the evening. Prizes include a Tony Parker plaque, H-E-B gift cards, Laredo Bucks memorabilia and game tickets and more.
