‘TAMIU Cover Laredo’ Seeks Blanket Donations
Help an underprivileged child warm up this winter by donating to Cover Laredo 2007 sponsored by the Texas A&M International University Student Government Friday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 7.
The TAMIU Student Government is asking for new or gently used blankets, jackets and sweaters in all sizes that will be donated to children who may not otherwise have anything to keep them warm during Laredo’s few, but cold months.
Please make sure all items are cleaned before donating.
Donate at any of the conveniently located donation stations at TAMIU in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, Residential Learning Community Clubhouse and Student Center, room 224.
The Killam Library will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 12 – 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 and 7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 – Friday, Dec. 7.
The Student Center’s hours of operation are 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday and closed on Sunday.
The RLC Clubhouse will be open for donations from 8 a.m. – midnight during the donation drive.
Mall del Norte will also host a donation station at the JC Penney Court Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 from 3 – 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2 from 3 – 7 p.m., and Monday, Dec. 3 – Thursday, Dec. 6 from 3 – 8 p.m.
