ExxonMobil Exec to Speak at IBC Keynote Series Feb. 20

Worried about the future of the oil and gas industry and energy in general?

Learn more about the outlook for energy through 2030 at the next International Bank of Commerce 2008 Western Hemispheric Keynote Speaker Series at Texas A&M International University, Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Jesse J. Tyson, president and sales director of ExxonMobil Inter-America Inc., will present "Energy Outlook-A View to 2030" in Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 111 at 7:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Tyson, a native of Jackson, Tenn., started working at ExxonMobil more than 30 years ago. He started in sales in Ohio, held various analyst and operations positions in Houston and has extensive experience in the logistics, order-to-cash and marketing segments of the energy business.

During the merger of Exxon and Mobil in 1999, Tyson was selected for the transition team and appointed global customer service manager after the merger.          

In November 2002 he was appointed Americas South Fuels marketing director and president of ExxonMobil Inter-America Incorporated and is based in Coral Gables, Fla. He is currently responsible for ExxonMobil's Fuels Marketing Retail business in the Caribbean, Central America, Andean Region and South America.

He earned a bachelor's in economics with honors from Lane College and an M.B.A. in marketing from The Ohio State University. Tyson is a member of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and is actively involved in community service.

The next speaker in the Series, Edward Alden with "The Closing of the American Border: Border Security, the Economy and Foreign Policy After 9/11," is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.
