Show your support for up and coming young artists at the Texas A&M International University Third Annual Juried Student Art Show: “Paradoxes Revealed.” The exhibit kicks off with a reception Thursday, April 3 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Gallery (CFPA).

Admission is free and open to the public.

“The exhibit includes artworks from all TAMIU art classes. The media will range from painting, photography, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, digital images and multi-media pieces,” said Alma Haertlein, assistant professor of art.

The work in the exhibit was selected by juror Dan McInnis, art instructor, Laredo Community College.

The show was organized by the TAMIU art club, Art.Ink.

“This is a great opportunity to buy artwork for your home or office,” advised Haertlein.

“Twenty percent of all artwork sales will go to support TAMIU art student scholarships,” she added.

The artist whose work is declared best in show will also receive a cash prize.

The exhibit will be on display through Thursday, April 17.

Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 12 – 5 p.m. or by appointment.
