According to a study released earlier this year by the U.S. Census, adults with a master’s degree or higher earned four times more than those with less than a high school diploma—about $82,000 compared to $21,000. Those with a bachelor’s degree earned about $57,000 and those with a high school diploma earned about $31,000.

The study also found that overall, 86 percent of adults have at least a high school diploma and 29 percent have at least a bachelor’s. Also, 52 percent of Asians 25 and older have a bachelor’s degree or more, compared with 32 percent of non-Hispanic whites, 19 percent of blacks and 13 percent of Hispanics.

TAMIU now offers 78 undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees.

The University’s growing academic inventory is directed by four colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration, College of Education and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
