Does “Winnie the Whiner” work in your company? How about “No Way Ned” or “Passive Patti”?
The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will sponsor a seminar targeted for business owners dealing with difficult people on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at TAMIU’s Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 103.

Registration fee is $30. Those registering and paying prior to June 13 receive a $5 discount.

This Seminar identifies unwanted behaviors and describes different styles of communication offering strategies to turn conflict into cooperation.

The Seminar will cover:

  • How we got here – generations and expectations
  • Who are the difficult people?
  • What’s your style?
  • What’s their style?
  • Strategies – blending, redirecting listening, trying it out.
