Risk Management Explored in TAMIU Training June 26

A special training session on “Risk Management” will be offered by Texas A&M International University’s Texas Center for Border Economic and Enterprise Development (TCBEED), Program for Non-Profit Excellence, on Thursday, June 26 in Western Hemispheric Trade Center (WHTC), room 103.

The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. A continental breakfast will be provided participants.

The training session will be presented by Robert Chapa, United Independent School District risk management director and Gilbert M. Sánchez, City of Laredo risk management director.

Topics covered will include risk management basics, personal and premise safety, managing employment risks, general liability coverage and claims, employee on the job injuries, potential risk treatments, and more.

Training fee is $50, but registrations completed prior to Wednesday, June 25 will receive a 30% discount.

The Program for Non-Profit Excellence provides professional development for the over 440 non-profit, tax-exempt organizations in the Webb County area.
