TAMIU-SBDC, SBA to Discuss Biz Opportunities for Women July 24

“The Marketplace for Contracting Opportunities for Women in Business,” a noontime roundtable discussion, will be conducted by the Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) and the San Antonio District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites, 110 Calle del Norte.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Participants will learn how to build a business profile, register on Central Contract Registration (CCR) and search for contract opportunities on FedBizOpps.

Federal, State and other agencies spend large sums every year. Learn how to take advantage of these opportunities for your small business.

Featured speaker will be Patricia Suarez, business advisor from the University of Texas at San Antonio-SBDC Technology Center, with guest remarks by Mary Alice Blanco, Women’s Business Ownership representative, SBA San Antonio District Office.
