TAMIU Planetarium Closing for Upgrades Aug. 11

Explore the galaxy, visit the Seven Wonders of the World or sit back and enjoy Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” this week at the Texas A&M International University Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium before the TAMIU LBV Planetarium closes for system maintenance and upgrades.

The TAMIU LBV Planetarium will be closed for four weeks starting Monday, Aug. 11.

This week’s scheduled shows are: “The Secrets of the Cardboard Rocket” Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. and “The Future is Wild” at 5 p.m.; “Destination Saturn” Thursday, Aug. 7 at 4 p.m. and “The Zula Patrol: Under the Weather” at 5 p.m.; “Star Signs” at 6 p.m., “Seven Wonders” at 7 p.m. and Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9.

General admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children and TAMIU staff, students and alumni. Admission to premium shows is $1 more. On Wednesday and Thursday, buy one ticket and get one free and on Saturday, buy a ticket for a second show and receive $2 off.
