TAMIU-SBDC Three-Part Web Creation Series Postponed

The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) three-part series on how to create a Web site originally scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., has been postponed until Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The hands-on workshops will be held at Texas A&M International University. Fee is $20 for each session.

Web pages aren't just for geeks anymore. Today’s business often incorporates a Web presence or Web commerce ability. But what if one doesn’t know HTML from H2O? Or a browser from Bowser?

This hands-on workshop series spans the entire process of building a simple Web site from the ground up, with plenty of pointers and reference material.

Alejandro Quetzeri, who has 10 years of experience in building Web sites and is owner of WSI Certified Internet Consultants, will lead the series described below:

What is WWW—World Wide Web?
Learn about search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN
What is e-mail?
Learn about domain names and how to create your own domain name.
