Create Successful Web Site Course Saturday at TAMIU

Learn to harness the power of the Internet to improve and expand your business. Get the confidence you need to take your company to the next level with a professional Web site with a course offered by Texas A&M International University A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business’ Division of International Business and Technology Studies.

“Creating Your Own Successful Web Site: Trips and Traps for Small and Medium Businesses” is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Anthony J. and Georgia A. Pellegrino Hall (PH), room 211.

Interested persons should register soon; seating is limited. Registration forms are available by calling Cindy Martínez, program coordinator, at 326.2486 or e-mailing cindy@tamiu.edu

Registration will also be held Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 a.m. in PH 211.

Course fee is $250 per participant and $200 for TAMIU employees, students and alumni.

This non-credit certificate course is geared toward anyone interested in improving communication with clients, co-workers or even family using the power of the Internet.

No prior knowledge of code is needed. Participants will be shown how to acquire the necessary resources to establish a commanding and beneficial presence on the World Wide Web.

Main topics covered include: hands-on HTML practice; how to plan and organize a Web site; how to host your site at little or no cost; develop and understand the brand; make your site stand out; how to direct traffic to your site and more.

Course instructor, Hugo Luís García, is a full-time MIS instructor at the Sanchez School of Business.
