The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will start a series of hands-on workshops to “build the know-how to build your business success” as part of a one-year Strategic Management Learning System (SMLS) Certification Program.

The Program starts Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TAMIU’s Student Center, room 120. Fee for each session is $20. Those registering for entire series will pay only $100 and a $25 enrollment fee.

This 12-step Learning System is designed to help one achieve business objectives. Each topic focuses on a different business management skill to bring specific areas of business under control before moving on to the next. Whether a beginner or a seasoned entrepreneur, this management Learning System helps strengthen management skills, be more efficient, and achieve the results needed from a business.

Entrepreneurs, business managers, and self-employed professionals will benefit from experiencing this Learning System. Using proven step-by-step instruction and customizable worksheets, all participants will be able to immediately apply what is learned to their own operation, driving a productive growth strategy and achieving business objectives.

Each session will be available twice a month, once in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the second in the evening from 5 to 7:30 pm.
