Annual Young Dance Concert Friday

Dancers as young as two through 60 years, who are members of the Texas A&M International University Young Dancer Program and students of the TAMIU Ballet Folklórico Juvenil will be featured at the annual TAMIU Young Dancer Christmas Recital Friday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts’ (CFPA) Recital Hall.

This event is free and open to the public.

Highlights from the program include excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and traditional holiday favorites.

The songs will be performed to a variety of different types of dances from pointe, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, folklórico to flamenco.

The Young Dancer Program is a community-based program that holds classes from September-May, offering children ages two to 11 a combination class including ballet, tap and Spanish dance and Teen/Adult classes in ballet, tap, jazz and Spanish dance.
