A new book, “Virtual Team Leadership and Collaborative Engineering Advancements: Contemporary Issues and Implications” (Hershey, PA: IGI Global) has been edited by Dr. Ned Kock, Texas A&M International University professor, A.R. Sanchez School of Business.

“The book addresses a range of e-collaboration topics, with emphasis on two particularly challenging ones: virtual team leadership and collaborative engineering,” writes Dr. Kock.

Through the use of e-collaboration technologies, virtual team leadership and collaborative engineering have brought teams, product engineering and process into the 21st Century. The book, intended for both academics and practitioners, is a combination of conceptual, theoretical, and applied chapters by a collaboration of authors, all experts in the fields of e-collaboration, virtual team leadership and collaborative engineering research.

Kock is a professor in the Division of International Business and Technology Studies. He holds degrees in electronics engineering (BEE), computer science (MS), and management information systems (PhD). He has authored several books and has been published in a number of journals.
He is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of e-Collaboration, associate editor of the Journal of Systems and Information Technology, and associate editor for information systems of the journal IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication.
