If you would like to advance in your career or further your education this Fall, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) invites you to its Graduate Studies Open House Thursday, April 9.

The event, free and open to the public, will take place from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom.

Those attending the event can receive information about graduate studies programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business.

Early Registration for Fall opens Monday, April 13 at TAMIU.

At the Open House, prospective students can also receive information about financial assistance for graduate studies from the University’s financial aid representatives and meet faculty members from each of the participating Colleges, said Suzanne Alford, associate director, TAMIU Office of Graduate Studies and Research.

Scholarships, fellowships and assistantship opportunities under the Lamar Bruni Vergara Educational Fund are additional funding avenues potential students can explore at the Open House, Alford said.

“Graduate school is a perfect opportunity to enhance your career,” she said, “While times are difficult economically in our country, higher education is the smartest investment you can make at this and all times because it will allow you to see returns in the form of enhanced knowledge, career advancement and higher salaries.”

Application forms for graduate school may be filled out at the event, Alford said.

“We encourage everyone who is interested in banking on a brighter future through higher education to attend,” Alford said, “You can also enjoy refreshments and apply for graduate school.”
