Texas A&M International University employees will spend the day at the University’s annual TAMIU Enrichment Day on Friday, May 15.

University offices will remain open, but staff and services will be greatly reduced.

Sally Baskey, a humorist and motivational speaker who encourages audiences to use humor to get through life, will provide the morning keynote speech, “Times Are Tough: Balancing Work and Home Life With Laughter!” based on her book, “Laughter, My Drug of Choice.”

All full-time employees will also attend morning presentations covering topics such as the new TAMIU online portal for employees and students, how to handle injuries on campus and a discussion on e-mail retention.

In the afternoon, employees will break into smaller groups and participate in informative sessions to include “How to Eat Healthy on $5 a Day,” “Stress Management: Staying Healthy Amid Stressful Conditions,” and “Acquiring Financial Stability in These Uncertain Economic Times.”

For more information, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 326.2365 or visit offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Library, room 320.

University office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
